NIRUPAMA ACADEMY OF HANDMADE PAPER is a creative educational and entrepreneurial organization that specializes in the area of Hand Papermaking and practices the art of Bookbinding, Printmaking and Product Designing.
The Academy was set up with the generous help of Mrs. Nirupama Chakraborty. Having keen interest in developing these art forms, she donated the premises and basic infrastructure for this unit.
Since its inception in 2004, Nirupama Academy has established an independent identity by introducing new possibilities in handmade paper.
We make papers from cotton rag and various plant fibres. Papers are used for Writing, Drawing, Painting and Printing purpose, and also to create a range of exclusive Lamp shades and Stationary items.
The Academy conducts various Training Programs throughout the year.
In addition to offering courses, Nirupama Academy does Commission Work and undertakes Collaborative Projects with individual, government & non-government organizations.
